Introduced in the 1920s, there were over 400 yellow buses offering tours and transportation in the park until considered redundant in the 1940s and 50s when the sell-off began. In 2002 Xanterra -the park concessionaire-purchased the remaining 8 from the Skagway Streetcar Company and refurbished them with the vintage body over a 2007 Ford E450 frame and motor and returned them to service in the park.
